Marketing makes it big at the ICCB 2015

20/08/2015

iccb-and-eccb-2015Another great International Congress for Conservation Biology ended in Montpellier a few weeks back. For it was a great opportunity to show case my research and network but I was particularly excited about the developments on the marketing side of things. Not only the Symposium I co-organized with Andrew Knight and Kevin Green had a sold out room for both sessions (see photo below) but we also saw the launch of the new Working Group on Conservation Marketing an Engagement. I am excited to be the co-chair of this new group and am really looking forward to exploring this new conservation frontier!

And to top it all off we saw the President of the Society for Conservation Biology, James Watson, refer to Conservation Marketing as one of the topic areas emerging from this meeting! http://on.natgeo.com/1MSgW5y Looking forward to the next ICCB already!
