São Tomé TV features timber management on prime time

22/10/2016

The only TV channel in São Tomé e Príncipe featured a workshop on timber management in the country on the main evening news! See it here. Great to see conservation getting some prime time!

The workshop was part of a Conservation Leadership Programme sponsored project entitled “Towards sustainable logging in São Tomé, São Tomé and Príncipe” and aimed to get together all key stakeholders around the issue of timber management in the country. We had around 50 participants, from local municipalities, the forest department, the army, NGOs, the timber traders association and several local communities that live around forest ecosystems. 1382092_717480338291031_4661461767126541194_n
