21/05/2017

Just out in Biological Conservation! Check it out here Conservationists often complain that their study species are ignored by donors. However, marketing theory could help understand and increase the profile and fundraising potential of these neglected species. We used linear regression with multimodel inference to analyse data on online behaviour from the websites of the … [Read more…]

Will optimistic stories get people to care about nature?

08/05/2017

Nature doesn’t make the news often these days. When it does, the story usually revolves around wildlife on the brink, record-setting climate extremes or ruined landscapes. However, that is not the whole story. There is also good news, but it often receives little attention. It is easy to see how bleak accounts of the state … [Read more…]

Lost & Found: It’s here!

21/04/2017

Talking about nature has frequently become talking about extinction, decline and loss. But it does not have to be. Conservation storytelling reaches Google Books

20/12/2016

Is Conservation Marketing worth it?

13/10/2016

Recently Emma Mckinley and I wrote a correspondence piece for the journal Oryx, celebrating the formation of the SCB Conservation Marketing Working Group and highlighting the potential of this new field to contribute to biodiversity conservation. The CITES COP and the future of rhinos

22/09/2016

The upcoming CITES COP has led to a lot of discussion around proposals to legalize the trade in rhino horn.
